Coalition fire has significantly damaged the Alliance ship Epsilon, sending it hurtling through subspace and putting it on a collision course with an unfamiliar planet in an unmapped system. Communications Officer Ranix has been thrust into command, but he’s only got one option: the Epsilon will crash land on the planet Earth.
Special Forces Officer Joe Hunt is the first human to make contact with the aliens, and the meeting’s not too friendly. Joe’s discovery means he has to serve as technical advisor to the SETI Post-Detection Task Group…but it also sets into motion a political crisis that may lead to disaster.
